Great local, neighborhood restaurant. Friendly staff, great food. Family friendly.
The Mac & Cheese is amazing - especially the bacon Mac. They have unique twists on chicken tenders (battered in Captain Crunch) and grouper fingers (battered in Shock Top beer). It's probably the only place in town you can get a hot dog and seared tuna! Everything I've tried on the menu is great.
They have TVs inside and outside making it the perfect place to watch a game. There's a great view of Williams-Brice stadium across the street too! -

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this place. We stopped by at 9:15 pm and almost didn't go in because of the hours on the door. The kitchen closes at 9:30 but everything else stays open until 11. We both order similar items with the double pork chops. They were delicious! Plus it left plenty of leftovers the next day. The mashed potatoes have a little kick to them and the Mac n Cheese is nice & cheesy. My boyfriend loved the curly fries too! Also everyone who helped us were super friendly, accommodating and always willing to help with suggestions.
I did originally ordered the Watermelon Smash but I had no idea it was a shot! The description was misleading so my waiter allowed me to order instead the Rum Punch, which was sweet and a mixed drink.
I didn't know this but dogs are allowed on the outside patio as long as they are on a leash. I'll definitely be coming back with my pup and to try more items on the menu. -

The service here is four stars, actually. I give three stars as an overall rating. This is not a bad place. It's just okay, which is what three stars means to me personally. The server was good and service was prompt and friendly. The prices are fair and the Mac n' cheese actually is pretty dang good. But overall the food is just okay. I would go back here especially because the location is great. It's just that Columbia has better restaurants and hang outs in town.

J's Corner is located at the old Jaco Location. The decor is upscale for an "American Restaurant & Bar"
On to the food. I ordered 6 Buffalo wings and 6 Jerk wings. They were fall off the bone tender! The Buffalo seasoning was perfect but the Jerk was more of a dry rub. They were not bad, but not what you would get if you ordered Jerk wings in Ocho Rios. (Jamaica) My Bride got the Caribbean Marinated Chicken with Mango Salsa and Avocado. She really enjoyed it.
Our waiter was very attentive. We usually have a couple drinks before we order. He made sure our drinks were always full. I think his name was Nick.
I do have a couple comments: (1) The noise level is a bit high as all the surfaces in the bar are either concrete or wood. They really need something soft to absorb some of the sound bouncing around. (2) The drink menus are well done; the Menu on the other hand is a sheet of legal paper copied several times too many.
All in all a solid 4 stars. We will be back. -

We we're very excited to eat here. Having tasted our kids leftovers one day, we made it a plan to come here for ourselves. It was a nice sunny breezy Sunday, and it wasn't real crowded in other words , the ambience was perfect. Door we're open a a nice breeze blowing through the restaurant. The food was very good and took some home and had later. My sides with my dish was the mash potatoes and gravy, and Mac and cheese, both complimented my pork chops oh so well. You have to gave their Mac and cheese, one of the best.ypu will ever try. Going back for sure!!
